Setup didn't detect my modem. How do I install it?

To install a modem in Windows 98 Second Edition, click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Modems. This action starts the Modem Installation wizard, which guides you through the installation of your modem.

NOTE: This procedure is for internal or external modems. PC Card modems automatically install when inserted (requires protected-mode PC Card drivers).

If you are still unable to setup your modem then try My modem won't dial or connect and Communication Port Conflicts
